BLDG4 Fabrication is looking for an experienced Lead Exhibit Carpenter. Proof of experience needs to be provided. Pay rate measured by experience. Must be proficient in finish carpentry and have millwork experience. Must have own basic tools and reliable transportation.


Minimum five year’s experience working in production in addition to working in a manufacturing environment producing ever-changing, custom work.

Able to read construction documents, sketches or scale drawings for temporary or permanent display or exhibit structures, such as framework, fixtures, booths, or cabinets.

Able to provide material take off list from drawings and delegate building responsibilities to other staff members.

Cuts, assembles, and fastens parts to construct framework, panels, shelves, and other exhibit components of specified materials, using hand tools and power tools.

Proven innovation and a strategic thinker.

Must be able to prioritize work against tight timelines, operate with a sense of urgency, and perform under pressure, especially in peak periods of the year.

Able to perform manual labor such as bending, and lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Provides adequate direction for each associate directly supervised; maintaining clearly stated work assignments and providing assistance when needed.


Understands production priorities and can quickly develop alternative plans to maintain production output when problems arise.

Outside jobsite oversight

 Attending and participating in project meetings.

Provide weekly updates to project team.

Ensuring project deadlines are met

Work within project budgets.

Ensuring projects adhere to defined frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.

 Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.

 Monitor production progress and handle any issues that arise.

 Evaluate process and work performance on each employee and make recommendations.

 Ensure safety procedures and precautions are enforced on all equipment and applied to all directly supervised associated..

Lead Exhibit Carpenter Requirements:

·         5-7 years experience in manufacturing, team based environment.

·         Up-to-date knowledge of the process and equipment for which he is responsible

·         Technical fabrication understanding and capabilities including general carpentry and metal fabrication.

·         Ability to multitask

·         Creative problem solver

·         Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD, adobe suite a plus

·         Ability to work on tight deadlines, with multiple projects.

·         Solid organizational skills and time-management

·         Strong teamwork and leadership skills
